Hello everybody,
it’s been long since my last post and I do apologize for that. I’m going to tell you in detail what happened during the last months (and make sure to stay tuned as some really cool projects were realized) but for now I only got one big message for you: FDT5 is going to ship! Soon! Maybe next week already! And hell yea, it will be free for you! To be precise, Powerflasher now officially published the release date. It’s going to be October 26th!
Let’s see what nice features have been leaked or updated already:
- Automated AIR SDK merging
- Enhanced (and by enhanced I mean a new!) mobile support
- Further HTML5, JavaScript and Haxe support
- Integrated Apparat!
- Global refactoring
- Wifi / USB debug for devices
- “Extract to..” refactorings – these babies rule!
So long, make sure to follow @FDT5 on Twitter and look forward to the upcoming major release of pure coding comfort! By the way my personal favorite to stay updated considering FDT is their awesome Vimeo channel. Go, check it out to learn something new every day :)
In addition here’s a little video to show FDT5 in action:

Can’t wait! :-) Any detailed information about the release date?
Hey Frank,
they just published their release date. It’s gonna be October 26th! I’m updating the post asap.
by the way Alan spoke at FlashTent a month ago so we have that up its a free 1 hour session going over the new features and more:
http://everythingfla.com/catagory/live/flashtent11/mobile-and-haxe-fdt5.html (its freeO)
and we got him to speak with us in depth on how to get started using fdt as well :
http://everythingfla.com/category/101/fdt5.html (right now for our paying users but will be free as well in the following weeks).
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get several e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Bless you!
